Union General Emergency Medical Services (UGEMS) began providing ambulance services for Union County in 1980 . Today our crews continue to deliver professional, compassionate healthcare in the safest and most efficient manner possible. Our incorporation of the latest technology, system innovation and strategic partnerships allow us to provide care that is second to none.
Union General EMS is the designated provider for 911 calls in all areas of Union County. We provide continued care during inter-facility transfer of patients to facilities with specialty treatment such as cardiac surgery, neurosurgery or a trauma center. Community involvement includes school visits, medical stand-by at sporting events and large festivals, and community medicine. Our units are equipped and our staff trained to provide Advanced Life Support services 24/7, 365 days a year. UGEMS crews will respond to around 6000 requests for help each year.
